Redueña treasures a natural environment of great value. In our municipality diverse ecosystems that make up an interesting mosaic of landscapes alternate. On the slopes, especially west and south of the town you can see dense oak and quejigares, as in the Dehesa Boyal, an excellent representation of Mediterranean forest.

The highest parts, north of the town, are covered by retamares and junipers and offer a spectacular view of the Sierra de La Cabrera and La Pedriza.

In the fertile plain of arroyo de las Huertas and Santa Lucia fields of cereal crops, orchards and groves riverside appear in an environment of transition between the steep slopes of the Sierra and the wide plains of the Campiña del Jarama. The highest parts, north of the town, are covered by retamares and junipers and offer a spectacular view of the Sierra de La Cabrera and La Pedriza.

It stands out among the natural values ​​of Redueña, the enormous biodiversity of our town. Countless species of fauna and flora are given Redueña appointment as visitors and hikers soon discovers that cross our town. Among the species of flora, it highlights the important variety of wild orchids growing in quejigares and oak, as well as many other species of showy coloration. Redueña are also common in aromatic plants, especially thyme and lavender, reaching its peak in spring.

Regarding the fauna, birds are perhaps the most prominent protagonists: here you can see some of the most colorful species on the continent, such as the unmistakable abejaruco, the oriole and the hoopoe, besides being Redueña a privileged municipality for the observation of prey, such as kites, vultures and buzzard. It is difficult not to see reptiles such as long-tailed lizard and luckiest, mammals such as foxes and roe deer.
